My Job

Hey guys! I did get the job and I had orientation this past Wednesday and Thursday. I also found out that I start my job after Christmas. For those of you who don't know, I'm a housekeeper/ laundry worker at the veteran's nursing home that my mom works at. I like it, but it's definitely a lot of work. See you guys later! ~Amy

I'M SO EXCITED!!

Hey guys!!!!! I have great to tell you guys, I most-likely have a job!! I'm getting finger printed today, and if I get approved, then I am guaranteed the job. Basically, what I am going to do, is work in the laundry and housekeeping department at the nursing home where my mom used to be a housekeeper, but is now a CNA. So that means, I get to work in the same facility as my mom! I'm so excited to start work part time and earn my own money!! So Much Stress!

Hey Guys!

Something bad happened since I posted last.... My mom's car died. Not like the car takes it time to start up, but the engine committed suicide. So now my mom and I have to get a new car since the old car has so much wrong with it. The weird thing is, is that even though the car was 10 years old and my mom kept it in amazing shape, the engine died with not even 35,000 miles on it... I don't even understand that... hmm... other than that, everything else is perfect.

Life Update

Hey Guys!

Nothing much is really going on with me right now. I'm just trying to apply for a job at many places and my mom and I started up our gardens again. Yesterday was when we planted the tomato plant and all of the seeds. Other than that, I don't have anything to say. I hope all is well with y'all.

Hey guys!

So far life is great.

But I'm in search of a job and so far, no luck.

Other than that, a few other things have happened. Several things including that the Blue Devils won the Drum Corps International World Championships, and school started back up here where I live.
All I can think of is that I am so glad that I don't have to go back to school.

But yeah, there is no other thing that is needed to be spoken about.

Back Home

Hey Guys!

So I finally got home last night at about 9:30 pm due to delays getting off of the train and there being 2 accidents on I4 and 1 major accident in I75. But, I did get home safely last night.
I had a fun train trip, and I was glad to see my brother up in Connecticut!

Last Day in Hartford, Connecticut

 Hey guys!

Sorry that I didn't post about the trip!

So, the train ride to Connecticut was interesting, especially with 6 hours worth of delays.

But when I got here, I did the following things:

1. Went to Mystic Seaport

2. Went to work with my brother

3. Explored Hartford

4. Went bowling, got my all time high score, and made my first ever 2 strikes!

5. Went out to lunch with my brother.

Unfortunately, I have to go home tomorrow, though.

So I leave in 2 days to go on my train trip, and I'm so excited!

Other than that I've been doing a lot around the house to try to help my mom, like mowing.

But, yeah, I'm probably going to finish mowing today so my mom won't be stuck doing it all.

So I leave for the train to Connecticut on Friday morning to catch the train on Friday afternoon.

How exciting! So yeah, this my first time riding a train for a long period of time and I will be able to sleep on it!!!

10 days until Train Trip!!!!!!

So there are 10 days until a couple of people and I go to Connecticut via Amtrak.
Yes, I know that Amtrak has been unlucky lately, but I honestly don't care.

52 Days After Graduation,11-12 days until The Train Trip

Hey Guys!


So it's approximately 50 days after graduation and 12 days until the train trip. So far, my mom and I have had so many scares that we were seriously thinking about canceling the trip. But, we came up with an agreement and now we are able to go on the trip.

Besides that, things are going well and everything is looking up from all of the troubles. :)

Other than that, I honestly don't know what else to say...

29 days after graduation

Hey guys!

Here are some updates since the last blog:
1. My refrigerator broke
2. I had to eat out of coolers for 9 days
3. My refrigerator got fixed
4. I only have 30 more day until my train trip to New England!

11 days after graduation

Hey guys!

Since I blogged last, 2 big things happened that weren't so good. There were some plumbing problems outside of my house. One of the leaks occurred in the water meter by the street (which means that the county ate it and fixed it for free) and the other leak was up in the main water supply pipe underground outside my bedroom (which was almost $1,000 work front the corner joint bust). So my mom and I are quite stressed financially right now to the point that my mom is considering canceling the trip up to my brother's in Hartford, CT.

My Life 6 Days After Graduation

Hey Everyone!

So far, it's day 6 of my journey in the real world and it's not very different as you think it is. The only difference is that I'm another adult that has joined the real world. It's definitely not as scary as all teenagers make it out to be.

For those who know me, they know me and have a lot say about me. But for those of you who don't know me, I'll tell my story.

I'm Amy Reynolds, I'm 18, and I'm a graduate in the Class of 2015. I was born on January 21st, 1997 in Brandon, FL and I've been raised by my mother. The reason I didn't mention my father is because he left my mother when she was 3 months pregnant for me and I never met him. I grew up in 2 states, lived in 4 towns, and went to 5 public schools. The last school, Port Charlotte High School, is where I graduated from on May 27th, 2015 and was proud to be a Pirate. I had picked up the flute in 4th grade and played it through high school and plan on doing something with music. In general, I'm a pretty happy person and I tend to always have a smile on my face, so make close friends with someone is a breeze.

That's me in a nutshell. I guess I'm pretty awesome and amazing.
